Bio

Personal Statement

The year was 1989. In Alaska the Exxon Valdez oil tanker ran aground. There where Pro-democracy rallies in Tienanmen Square, China. In Chicago the first liver transplant was performed. The Nobel Prize for Peace was awarded to the 14th Dalai Lama; Tenzin Gyatso. And in a little city called Chico a young boy heard Ozzy Osbourne's song Bark At The Moon.

That was all it took. I new that I had to learn to play the guitar…

Now 18 years later (2007) I have been in numerous bands and currently have one project that I am proud of.

As a music instructor I feel that it is my job to first teach you to play and love music. Once you can competently play your instrument I can then then help you to understand how to create your own music and completely understand what the musicians around you are doing to create the sounds you have grown to love.

Please see my student handbook for details on my teaching methods and policies.
